Masara Traore is a group of traditional African music, essentially from Mali and Burkina.
Their themes explore different melodic sounds bringing us to a profound Africa, full of messages and traditions.
Thanks to the cooperation among their excellent musicians, emerges a music stuffed with life and colors from their diverse origins.

Singer of great personality and talent, Masara is also an amazing dancer that encourages everyone to follow her.
This artist from Burkina Faso has been involved in a great variety of African music groups since a young age, mainly as dancer. A few years ago she decided to create and lead her own group.
Masara is the main composer of all the songs of the group, transmitting through them messages of wisdom and experience.
Interpreter of a great charm, Masara Traore has all the ingredients to become a star of the current African scene.

Adama Kone

Together with his Jeli N'Goni, Adama sets the base for the hectic and frantic rhythm of the group.
The main specialty of this musician from Mali are Mandengue and Bamaná music rhythms.
Adama Kone has an extensive experience collaborating with many important groups from Mali since the age of 18 such as: Nene Soumano, Djalou Damba, Fanta Sourougou, Babani Kone, Paye Camara or Mama Draba.

Kalidaf Sangare

Kalidaf - "Vieux" - is an electrifying guitarist who has been very involved on the musical composition of all the songs of the group.
The main specialty of this guitarrist from Mali are the Mandengue and Wasoulo rhythms.
Kalidaf Sangare started performing in 1992 with the Sanghasire group and, from that moment on, he collaborated with many of the most renowned groups of Mali such as: Habib Koité, Oumou Sangare, Alou Sam, Ramata Diakite, Adama Yalomba, and Babani Kone Djelika Diawara.

Omar Diadji

Omar Diadji

Omar is a Senegalese drummer with huge experience. He played with great musicians of all genre like reggae, mandengue, hip-hop and more. At the battery, he's got an amazing speed that skillfully encourages us all with a fantastic rhythm and vibrant color. But what is truly amazing about him is his great ability to improvise, allowing our music to evolve in unusual and different form at each performance.

Marta Casado

Marta Casado

Marta is an amazing dancer and fantastic choir from Catalonia who has a great connection with Masara.
She started dancing at 2 years of age in the dance school of her mother and at 19 years old, Marta started a dancing career which includes: classical, jazz, tap, interpretation and contemporary. But when she got in touch with African dance, she discovered her passion for this dance and devoted herself completely to it.
She has performed with a great number of artists such as: Luis Mbabele, Luis Mbomio (traveling to Guinea at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture), Dankan, Nino Galisa, Cheika, Kendo Djomby, Dunyakelen or Banankalo.
